"The Web's Best-Kept Traffic Secret"

By Jim Edwards

Did you realize that thousands of website operators use a
simple technique to generate targeted visitors to their
websites without paying a dime in advertising? It's true.

In fact, the technique works so well that many of them
don't want you to discover how they get those thousands of
website visitors and make so many sales on virtual "auto-
pilot."

Their method?

Creating tightly focused articles other people publish in
their ezines (online magazines and email newsletters) and
post on their websites. This method rates so powerful that
some even call it "the web's best kept traffic secret."

Now, you may ask, "Why would an ezine publisher or website
owner publish my articles for their subscribers?"

The answer: Content!

Over a 100,000 ezines and newsletters operate on the web
(along with millions of websites) covering everything from
pets and cooking to investments and real estate. Many of
them need tightly focused content and they simply can't
produce all of it themselves.

Look at it this way... it's the same reason newspapers use
the Associated Press. Individual newspapers often can't
afford staff writers to cover every story, so they accept
articles from outside their organization.

You can do the exact same thing for various ezines and
websites catering to your niche audience!

You can get valuable publicity -- exposure you often
couldn't even pay for if you wanted to -- by providing
valuable, content-rich articles in exchange for a byline
and a link to your website (called a "resource box")!

The following represent only a few of the enormous benefits
of writing and distributing simple articles online:

** Attain "Expert" Status **

Let's face it! In the eyes of virtually everyone who reads
your articles you rank as the "expert" on the subject.

Just look at people who write newspaper columns. You
may disagree with their viewpoints, but they still have an
elevated status in your mind compared to the "average Joe"
off the street.

** Pre-sell Website Visitors **

If your article appeals to a niche audience hungry for more
information on a very focused subject, you actually pre-
sell them better than any sales pitch. In their minds,
you've already delivered content they really want so when
they click over to your site you already have a
"reputation" in their minds.

** Traffic Lasts Longer **

Even though the Internet changes very quickly, webmasters
are usually very slow to remove content from their sites.
Once you get an article posted on another person's website,
you have an excellent chance of that article staying there
for weeks, months, even years.

** Increase Links To Your Site **

In a recent search I found just a dozen of my articles
posted on over 813 different websites! Not only do those
postings bring me traffic, but they also help my search
engine positioning because of my increased "Link
Popularity."

** Builds Your Affiliate Base **

Fact: Affiliates always take the path of least resistance.

If you provide excellent articles they can easily post on
their sites or copy and paste into their ezines, your
affiliates will promote you more often and more effectively
compared to those who don't give them tools.

Plus, as you make more sales and publish articles, other
people will see you providing excellent tools and will want
to sign up as your affiliate so they can use them too!

** Build a Huge "Opt-In" Email List **

You can use articles to build up a huge list of subscribers
by simply compiling several articles into a series and
delivering them at preset intervals.

Often called a "mini-course," this technique allows you not
only to prove to your subscribers that you deliver great
information, but enables you to capture their name and
email adress so you can send them articles and special
offers in the future (with their permission).

** Requires No Special Skills **

People often think they need to be a "writer" in order to
publish articles, but that's not true!

FACT: If you have a passion for a subject and can talk and
explain things like you would to a friend over a cup of
coffee, you can write articles people will love to read.

So if you operate a website selling virtually any type of
product or service (whether your own or as an affiliate),
publishing and promoting with articles should rank high on
your list of traffic generation strategies.

No other method of generating targeted traffic to your
website provides the quality, quantity and steadiness of
traffic in such a simple, straightforward, and cost-
effective manner.

How To Quickly Locate A Profitable Niche

By John Taylor

Copyright John Taylor - February 2005
http://www.Test-and-Track.com

I spotted this question earlier today on one of the more
popular Internet Marketing forums. I was about to provide
an answer and then I thought.. No, that would make a great
article!

So, here is a list of 10 ways of quickly locating a
profitable niche...

1. Pay attention to the news. The news is a great source of
ideas for profitable niche markets. There are lots of ways
of keeping up with the news too. Most people watch the TV
nNews at least once per day and then, obviously, there are
several daily and weekly newspapers. If you want to focus
on local markets you simply need to watch the local news.
There are also lots of web sites offering up to date news
too.

2. One of my favourite places to research profitable niche
markets is the local bookshop. I love reading and I always
look out for the list of top selling non-fiction books. At
the moment there seems to be a lot of gardening and home
improvement books in the top ten and there are enough niche
markets within just those two categories to keep you busy
developing products or seeking out potential affiliate
income streams for quite a while. Don't forget to talk to
get to know and talk to the staff in your local library
too, they will tell you which are the most popular and in-
demand books.

3. While on the topic of books... You should also check out
the top selling lists at http://www.Amazon.com. But,
remember Amazon.com has a much wider product range than
just books and you can discover which items are the top
sellers in a wide range of categories including software,
electronics, music and videos.

4. What if you could identify the popularity of a hobby or
pastime? What a great question, I'm really glad you
asked... Check out http://www.mediafinder.com it is an
incredibly useful resource that lets you see if your niche
market has any targeted newsletters and magazines that are
published offline. Let's face it, publishing, printing, and
mailing offline magazines and newsletters costs a
considerable amount of money; and few publishers are going
to invest in a topic unless there is a proven demand.

5. Where better to look than one of the most popular sites
on the entire Internet... http://www.eBay.com - the problem
with eBay.com is its sheer size. However, I'm going to
recommend something that will help you to find hot selling
items quickly and easily. Just click here and read all
about it: http://www.go-click.com/to/hot Hot Item Finder
searches the eBay listings and returns a list of all the
items that have bids greater than 25 bids. This great
little tool can literally save you hours and hours of
research time and it will pay for itself in no time.

6. One of the most popular niche market research tools used
by professional Internet marketers can be found at
http://www.Go-Click.com/to/wordtracker although their
yearly membership service is quite expensive, it is
possible to set up just a one day membership to conduct
your keyword research. Be sure you plan your topics well in
advance to get the best from the service. There is a free
trial that offers limited research and it is well worth
subscribing to receive their weekly top search listings.

7. Some people love to spend hours and hours in their local
shopping mall and that can be a great place to identify the
latest in-demand products. If you prefer to do your
research online then http://www.froogle.com is the place to
look. Froogle.com, is part of the Google empire and
provides the online equivalent of the giant shopping mall.

8. Trend spotting can give you an excellent competitive
advantage. Identifying and getting established in a new
niche before anyone else can be very profitable. However,
it can also be much more risky than entering an already
established market. There are two sites that I use
regularly to look for new trends:
http://www.TrendWatching.com and their sister site:
http://www.SpringSpotters.com - I strongly recommend that
you sign up for both newsletters and make sure you take
some time to look through their archives. There's some
great content and lots of ideas for niche markets too.

9. Look at your calendar. Every year your calendar is
marked with special days, events and other celebrations.
And each one of those days is a potential niche. Yes,
people do look for Valentine's Day cards and gifts and you
could set up a niche web site to monetize that niche
market. OK, you aren't going to make money every month, but
you will make money at least part of the year. So, if you
create a portfolio of niche sites that cover at least one
date each month, you will build all year round income.

10. One of my online research "secrets" is to monitor the
top forums and blogs within a specific market sector. For
example, lets say I was interested in developing a new
niche within the Gardening sector. I would visit the top
forums and look out for popular thread topics and
frequently asked questions. Let's say there was a lot of
posts that included questions about pruning - my next step
would be to do some further research using the free tool
from http://www.GoodKeywords.com to discover the potential
of "pruning" as a keyword and then to see if anyone was
paying for click throughs with Google Adwords.

Secrets To Their Success

Uncover Insider Insights From Leading Internet Marketing Expert Who Makes Thousands Every Week

Insider Interview with Michael Cheney

Michael Cheney is one of the most-respected names in the field of Internet marketing. The chances are that you will already read one of his many, many marketing articles that are dotted throughout the web.

My recent appearance on CNBC

In this unique interview we gained insights from him on how he has managed to build up several successful Internet businesses that now earn him thousands each week.

Q. "Michael, thank you for taking the time to talk to us today. Firstly, can you tell us a little bit about yourself, your background and how you got started in Internet marketing?"

"Sure. My earliest experience with the Internet dates back to around 1993 when I first started experimenting with telnet that I guess was an early forerunner for the modern-day chat rooms.

And then around 1995 I first started getting into developing websites and marketing websites. I was at university at that point and I graduated and went to work for ExxonMobil one of the world’s largest oil companies.

After spending a couple of years in their IT division I’d had enough really and decided to go it alone and launch my own internet business.

I quit my nine to five job and set off into the world of Internet marketing.

Initially I offered consultancy for clients, provided Internet marketing training, that kind of thing. I also founded a website called Seniority.co.uk which is now the UK’s number 1 website for over fifties. So I had a few irons in the fire so to speak."

Q. "What made you decide to capture a your web marketing knowledge in a book?"

"Well, over the past decade I have learned a great deal about creating websites and marketing websites effectively and as I’ve gone along I’ve obviously kept notes on this for my own records and to help my consultancy customers.

But as time went on I realised that I had really in my hands an opportunity to help other business owners with the advice as well by putting it into a book format.

There are a lot of people out there who want this type of information without having to pay the higher consultancy rates and this is really when the concept for the Website Marketing Bible came about."

Q. "What questions do you get asked most often by business owners looking to be successful on the Internet and what do you say to them?"

"I guess really the most common ones are:

"How do I get top in the search engines?"

or

"How do I get found on the web?"

I get asked this every day and there are no easy answers. Normally what I would say is that although search engines are important they’re not the be all and end all. And generally speaking
too many people focus on getting visitors into their website rather than actually spending time on creating the best website that they can.

That is - creating a website that converts as many visitors as possible into customers.

Success on the Internet doesn’t mean getting on the first page of a search engine or getting a lot of visitors. Success on the Internet means generating a lot of profit. And when people get drawn into the huge potential that the Internet can offer this is the fact that sometimes gets neglected.

So what I say to people that ask me ‘How can I get a high profile for my site?’ or ‘How can I get top in the search engines?’ is to only start looking at these issues once you have a website that you are totally happy with.

Everybody who has a site will be getting some amount of traffic. So, are you converting a high percentage of the existing traffic that you’re getting into sales?

If you’re not - then that’s where your time should be spent, not on actually getting more people in that are just not going to buy in the first place.

Obviously, once you’ve done that then you need to start look at marketing the site using search engines and also other techniques that can produce a better quality of leads. For example
- reciprocal links, directories and other promotional techniques.

And these two ideas, of creating the best website possible and then marketing it as effectively as possible, are central to my philosophy on Internet marketing and central to what I’ve included in my book. You’ve got to have the best site and you’ve got to have the best marketing techniques – those are the two essential elements you need.

It sounds simple but so many people just focus on the second without realising that the first is equally as essential to success on the web."

Q. "Have you made any big mistakes in online marketing that other business owners would benefit from hearing about?"

"Oh yes! One of them is that initially I didn’t focus enough on the majority of visitors that came to my website yet weren’t immediately ready to buy from me.

There are many businesses that fall into the same trap and spend a lot of time and effort trying to capture the sales from visitors to their site that are right at the point of purchase but
not on those visitors that aren’t ready to buy.

But if you do that, like I did, then you’re missing out on a big opportunity.

What would happen with my site is that, people would come to it, and yes I would generate some sales, but I wasn’t providing enough information or ‘hooks’ for the majority of people who weren’t yet ready to buy.

So they were coming to the site once and then disappearing.

So that was a large mistake.

The other big mistake I made was not focusing early enough on the power of email and building a list of prospects and a list of customers’ email addresses.

This really is central to success on the Internet.

Developing a list of your prospects is like a goldmine.
Once you’ve developed the list and you communicate with them you then get opportunity to sell to them. I didn’t realise and exploit that fact early enough, which was a mistake.”

Q. "There are so many courses and
books out there on website marketing what makes yours any different?"

"Well first off with The Website Marketing Bible - it’s my experience. I’ve been creating and marketing websites for 10 years so I’ve learned a lot of things in that time. I’ve also read a lot of marketing literature and bought countless Internet marketing products in my time.

I like to think of myself as a website marketing sponge – if there’s anything out there on the subject I make it my job to absorb it!

I’ve also tested thousands of different strategies on my own websites. Basically I’ve been there, done that and got the T-shirt. My sites now earn thousands for me every week.

The other key difference is that the Website Marketing Bible focuses on all aspects of website marketing. There are a lot of books that just talk about search engines or some that just talkabout how to market your site on the web.

Whereas the Website Marketing Bible takes you through how to tackle the entire process from building your website, designing it then all the way through to marketing and all the techniques in between. I just believe there isn’t anything else out there quite like it.

Another key difference is that it’s not just something you read. There are exercises that I’ve created for you throughout the book that encourage you to think things through for your website, specific to you and take action. So it’s not just something you read and then file - it’s something you work through.

Another difference is the amount of time that has been invested in it. This is not a product that I’ve created in week or so. This has been over a year in production and has been collated from all the insights and strategies I’ve developed over the past 10 years.

Also I don’t sell anything in the book or bonus products.

The book or the bonuses do not contain affiliate links that earn me commissions. What you’ll see in some courses is that a lot of the material is just recommendations that send you off to a website where the author earns more cash for the referral. So you’re never quite sure of the merit of such recommendations.

The advice I offer is totally unbiased and independent.

I’m not affiliated to anyone and don’t sell anything in the Website Marketing Bible."

Q. "You said that you have many online businesses that produce lots of profit for you – can you tell us more about this?"

"Sure. There are three main businesses I operate. One is Seniority.co.uk Limited – which as I mentioned is an online community for over 50s that generates revenue via advertising and sponsorship.

Another of my businesses is Magnet4web which is my consultancy business where we provide some one to one consultancy, website audits and Internet marketing training.

And the third main company I have is the Website Marketing Bible division, which is a business in its own right - sellingand promoting the book, giving interviews, media appearances and so on."

Q. "What is your advice for people that are just starting out with marketing their website or maybe don’t even have a website at all yet?"

"That’s really two questions! For those that don’t have a website yet, believe it or not you’re actually in a very good position. Because you’re able to get all the information that you can to make sure that website is as good as it can be.

A lot of people that I speak to are in the position that they already have a legacy website that perhaps isn’t working for them and they’re reluctant to tear that down and start again.

Whereas with a blank canvas you actually have some advantages over people that already have a website established.

But the two main things I would focus on in either case, if you’ve just started marketing your site or you’re just thinking of developing a website, are targeted traffic and offering free information that’s very valuable.

With targeted traffic you need to sit down and write down a list of where your customers go online. Which other websites do you think they will visit? What other products and services will they interested in?

If you start to do this it will give you ideas for how you can actually market your website online. So that’s the first thing I would do – try and develop lists and ideas of how to attract targeted traffic rather than just any old traffic.

And the second is offer free information of great value. If you do this at the outset then your site will, to a small degree, market itself.

If you’re offering free information that people can access they’ll come back to your website, they’ll tell their friends about it, people will link to you and so on.

So those two things together will go a long way to giving you a great start."

Q. "What would you say to people that perhaps don’t have the budget to invest in products like your Website Marketing Bible and how they can get started with marketing their site?"

"Well there is a lot of free information out there. Some companies are falling over themselves to help you and give you snippets of advice. But you do need to take some of it with a pinch
of salt. Not all of the information is of the same value and not all of it is actually accurate.

For my own take on this I offer a free 7-part training course called “Internet Marketing Made Easy”. Essentially I give this away to help people that are just starting out in this game
- and obviously if they benefit from and enjoy the information they may come back to me at a later date to perhaps buy something.

But the point is, in this life I guess - givers always gain. Those who give the most generally gain the most and I try and adopt this philosophy with my businesses.

This part of the reason I’ve developed the free training course. I’m giving away a lot of free information, advice, reports, Ebooks, audio seminars etc. for free.

Because I realise that people may then come back to me for paid advice at such time that they need it."

What Do People Really Need?

Copyright © Bill Vannot - All Rights Reserved

http://www.successful-marketing.com

=============================================

People need a nudge..... a Reminder....or reminders, with
an "s". Most people need to be reminded more often than
they need to be informed.

In sales, especially advertising, we make our sales pitch,
back and forth, to get a decision. We have to repeat our
benefits everyday. Our job is to remind people about our
offers, in a polite and effective manner. We practice and
we become masterful "repeaters." We remind people about the
things that we sell and we touch base to fill their needs.

We have to do this before someone else takes away our
customers and our business. We always KEEP our offers in
front of our customers.

If people like what we say and do, they buy from us.
Actually, we could be in the reminder business. Sure, we
need good reasons to re-visit people. We also need a variety
of new answers if they ask for a reason for the ongoing
contact.

Are Your Creative Selling Skills Tuned Up?

Creative selling creates new reasons to email or call back.
There are always different approaches. You just have to
create various ways of looking at things.

* Train yourself to ask this question: "What's happening in
the customer's life?"

* Next, think about what you can possibly say or do, that
will remind each customer that you have something in mind
for them. Then reflect on how you can make that "something"
just as important to them, as it is to you. To you, that
"something," is your paycheck. Perhaps a special bonus offer
would please your customer.

Since decisions are made in seconds, creating a sense of
urgent need, and/or desire, is our main focus. Always, be
positive. Always lead!

Each time, go through your speech just one more time. Is
there a deal stopper? If so, find out what's stopping this
particular deal from going through. Indecision is often
the reason for the delay. That's exactly when you remind
the customer about all the good things that can happen, if
you both make "something" happen, together.

There's a story about Christopher Columbus that explains
this creative-reminder, sales process. After being ridiculed
by naysayers, who called him "nothing special" for his New
World discovery, he asked them one question. He asked if
they could balance a raw egg on its small end, without
props.

They tried in frustration to balance the egg on its small
end, but each person failed. Columbus then picked up an egg
and lightly cracked the end of it. It stood alone on it's
small end. He didn't use trickery or deception to balance
that egg. Things are always EASIER after someone shows you
how they did it. Columbus was selling himself and his
creative ideas, with that single egg. He taught his
contemporaries a valid lesson.

There's more than one way to do things, so be creative! Try
using win-win reminders. Use your creative spirit and skills
to create synergy and sales!

10 Leadership Lessons From The World's Greatest Leaders

- by Laurence Winmill

===========================================================

Since the beginning of mankind every one of us needs and
benefits from leadership, whether it's religious, social,
family, educational, governing, professional or business.
The fact is that without leadership there is simply no
direction or path for us to follow.

Typically when you mention the word leader, historical names
spring to mind. Political or Governing leaders include
Winston Churchill, George Washington, Adolf Hitler, Julius
Caesar, William Wallace, Lenin, Mandela, Gandhi, Thatcher,
Kennedy, the list goes on.

All of these names have left their mark in history -
they have inspired millions to follow their example,
in some cases with magnificent results and in others
quite catastrophic.

But what all leaders seem to have in common is summed up in
a quote by Vance Packard (The Hidden Persuaders) -
"Leadership appears to be the art of getting others to want
to do something you are convinced should be done".

You see whether we talk about Jack Welch and General
Electric, Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela or whoever,
there are a number of key leadership strategies or
principles that you can take on board and implement to
benefit your own organization:

1. Become a great communicator - you may have a great idea
but unless you can convince the masses your unlikely to
succeed.

2. Understand and learn about the people your leading -
Differentiate between Delegation, Coaching, Directing and
Supporting people within your organization. You must
identify who falls into which category.

3. Be prepared for Criticism - but stick with your core
values and beliefs.

4. Stay Focused - Do what you do best - Focus your
energies on your core business.

5. Become an Expert in your field - Learn to do what you
currently do even better - Own your niche.

6. Cut Cost and waste - eliminate unnecessary waste and your
profit margins will improve.

7. Focus on Time Management - Spend your time working on
those projects or initiative that yield the highest
return.

8. Embrace change - don't fear it.

9. Become a leader, act like a leader - source new ideas
encourage innovation and make sure it spreads
throughout the organization.

10. Earn respect and give respect to everyone who
shares your vision and values.

Finding a Home Business Has Never Been Easier!

by Kim Beardsmore

Many people are looking for a home business to give them financial freedom. With so many small business opportunities to choose from, how do you discern a truly great home business from the wannabes? Rather than take a gamble with your future financial security read on to find out exactly what to look for with these seven keys to home business success.

Key 1: How big is the market? What type of people would be interested in the products and services? The businesses that go further are those that can serve the needs and wants of potentially millions of people; are not restrained by demographics and that appeal to people with disposable income. Many small business opportunities would satisfy one or two of these criteria but few satisfy all three. The more people interested in your products the more money you will make.

Key 2: What is the industry trend? What is the general direction of the industry in which your business will operate? Is the industry expanding, staying level or worse still, shrinking? Are people finding alternatives to your products and services? Do you remember some years ago the explosion in home entertainment through videos? or a short time having movies at home on video was highly lucrative but has been quickly replaced with DVDs. Be aware that a product or service may be considered *hot*...but for how long?

You will need to look for an industry that is expanding as well as a highly desirable product or service. If the industry is expanding, it is possible get a sense for how long that industry will continue to grow by taking a look at the generation of Baby Boomers.

Baby Boomers are the people born between 1945 and 1960 who have caused significant industries to emerge in the past. For example, as they have aged, the following industries have expanded: baby foods, station wagon cars, tertiary education, computers and IT. Baby Boomers are approaching the latter part of their working lives and are interested in products and services that promise financial security, health and flexible lifestyle.

A home based business satisfying an emerging need of the Baby Boomers is one that will have some significant future.

Key 3: The nature of the product or service itself? Is the product one that people will use often? Look for a product that is consumed (used up) and needs to be replaced regularly. This will give you repeat orders from the same customer and create a steady flow of income.

Do customers fall in love with the product or simply use it? The best home business opportunities are with products that people love, rather than simply, like. People love products that save them time, or deliver a solution to a recurring problem. The product should also represent value for money and most importantly, be one that people can't get anywhere else.

Key 4: How is the product delivered to the customer? This is an important point as you will want to leverage or use your limited time in the most effective way possible. If you physically deliver to your customers, you significantly limit your income and market potential. No business, even your own will pay you for delivery. Businesses pay on generating sales! Your time is much more valuable spent in lead generation than to allow it to be squandered in delivering the product.

Look for a business where the products can be delivered electronically over the internet, or are delivered directly to the consumers by the parent company - without you having to be involved, other than placing the order.

Key 5: Is there a proven business system? Is there a successful business system you can plug into? Let's face it, you want to get up and running and be making money as soon as possible, not creating a business system! Or, worse still trying to make a bad business system workable!

Look for a business opportunity with well-designed marketing tools; efficient, automated processes, simplicity and track record of creating business success for newbies. A great business is one that even Homer can master!

Key 6: Is there a support system? Is there a support structure you can plug into until you grow your business and learn your business to stand independent? Once you get started, are you going to be left alone or will there be someone there to guide you?

Choose a home business where someone will teach you how to run the business and if need be, show you how to develop your own leaders. Make sure there is a mentoring system in place so you have the opportunity to regularly learn from successful leaders who have gone before you.

Key 7: The credibility factor. Is the organization believable, stable and have a track record of delivering on their promises? Have a good look at the people who are in charge and ask the following questions.

How long has this organization been in business? Is the company well respected? Does the company make unsubstantiated claims? Have they been able to establish a loyal customer base so far? How to Actually Make Money in Network Marketing

Copyright 2005 By Willie Crawford

Most people that I know who are, or have been in network
marketing, never seem to make a dime! Others (myself
included) make a small fortune. If you're not doing VERY
well with your business, and you're honestly putting in
the effort, let me explain to you how to turn things around!

First of all, you need to make sure that you have the right
product.
That's the biggest mistake I see those who're
failing make. At the same time, I see many marketing the
same products that I do, not having the same success. So
that's only one piece of the puzzle. Still, it's a very
important piece of the puzzle.

The product must be:

- A product that you can't buy cheaper at the local Wal-Mart!
If your potential customers could get the product cheaper
locally, you'll have a hard time marketing it to people
who, at least subconsciously, have to believe that they're
being ripped off. To honestly evaluate "the true value"
of the product you also need to separate the product from
the "biz-op" end of it. The product has to actually be worth
the asking price even if it didn't offer resellers or
representatives a chance to profit from selling it.

- A product category that a large group of people are already
buying.
Having to educate people that they need your product
is an uphill... and often losing... battle. Why not offer
them something they're already using.

- A consumable product. One-time sales mean you are
constantly searching for new customers. It's sooooo much
easier to market something that they will love, use up, and
keep getting more of from you. Built-in residual income simply
can't be beat. Make the sale once... do the work once, and
then earn commissions for a very long time.

Let me give you a quick example of such a product. Practically
everyone over 6-years-old in America, and in many countries,
send greeting cards. They send them for holidays, birthdays,
graduations, the birth of a child, wedding, etc. Some people
send as many as 70 cards a year... my wife probably falls
into that category.

My wife and many others send tons of cards costing up to $5
each. Actually, it's more correct to say that she now sends
cards on all of these occasions for less than $1 each. No,
those are NOT e-cards, and that price includes postage. She
sends them through a network marketing company that does
print on demand cards, and allows her to upload her address
book into an online database, and then reminds her of when
it's time to send birthday cards, etc. This product also
has wide appeal to professionals such as car dealers, bankers,
realtors, lawyers, etc., because the system allows them to
send entire campaigns of pre-scheduled sequences of
personalize cards. It's very powerful.

That is just one example, one I happen to really like, of
a network marketing business where you don't have to create
demand, or search for customers. They're just waiting for
you to show them a product that will actually save them
money. Since these cards are fully personalized, don't
require you to even leave your house, and can be sent in a
few seconds... all for under a dollar, I doubt that even
Wal-Mart can compete. It's a no-brainer! Take a look at:
http://www.makeloyalcustomers.com/willie

You can even request a sample account be set up so that
you can take the system for a test drive. The "try before
you buy model" is time tested and PROVEN to work!

The only drawback to the card system is that they don't
accept distributors outside the U.S. and its territories.
Customers can be from anywhere though.

Now, aside from the product, you need:

- A proven company. The management needs to know what
it's doing, and that only comes from experience in managing
a similar business. It simply doesn't make sense to risk
your time and other resources on inexperienced management.

- A well-designed website. This is a BIG drawback for
many network marketing companies I see. Their site
leaves you guessing "What in the world is this site about!"
Most visitors that you manage to attract to such as site
will simply leave, and in the process leave you frustrated
with your lack of success.

- A compensation plan that doesn't require a Ph.D. to
understand.
For some reason, most network marketing
companies choose to express their compensation plans
in terms only someone "high on crack cocaine" could begin
to comprehend. The easier it is for someone to understand
the compensation plan, the better. After all, your
prospects are coming into it for the money, so they must
be able to understand how, and how much, they'll get paid.

- A belief in the product strong enough that you
can honestly recommend
it. All of our communications
have a "tone" to them... even our written communications.
We humans pick up on subtleties in communication, and
we ARE able to tell when someone doesn't really
believe what they're saying to us. We get that feeling
that something "isn't quite right." At the same time,
when someone shares information with you about a product
that they're totally "ga-ga" over, you pick up on that
too.

The business also needs to require some initial investment.
Having studied hundreds of different companies, and different
business models, I expect to make an investment to get into a
good network marketing program. You need to attract serious
business people, and programs that you can get into
for absolutely nothing generally only attract those who
will never upgrade, never do anything to really promote
the business, and expect you to do everything for them.

A nominal fee for the starter kit serves to weed out
those who would waste a lot of your time, and allows
you to spend time working with those willing to invest in
actually building a business. The reality is that there's
no business, that I know of, that you can get into without
some type of investment!

Another essential is training for team members. You MUST
have a duplicable system that anyone can plug into. It
can't be only suitable for certain personality types.
Any new person must be able to follow the step-by-step
training, and because of the system in place, achieve
the same results. The training needs to be available
on webpages, in printable form, and in audio form, so
that team members can digest it in whatever form they
learn best in. Live training events... or perhaps webinars
need to also be available.

Far too many people fail in network marketing simply
because they can't do what the top producers are
doing. When that happens, it's because the top producers
are often "lone wolves" off doing their own thing
outside of the system. What that does is allow the lone
wolf to bring in a lot of people who can't do what
they're doing. That formula simply can't work long-term.

One final factor that differentiates the successful
from the unsuccessful network marketer... the successful
network marketer only recruits the right people.
They
interview prospects to determine why they want to get
into the business in the first place. If the prospect
doesn't have compelling, emotional reason for wanting
to get into the business, top producers don't waste
their time recruiting them. That takes a lot of
discipline, but it's the only way to build an
organization that will be successful long-term. Bringing
in the wrong people... people who won't work, and want
you to do everything for them, only leads to disappointments
for everyone involved.

I've just shared with you the key to actually making lots
of money in network marketing. It's all really just
common sense, but common sense that far too few people
seem to be applying. Think about what was just shared
with you above. Then ask if you're doing it right. If not,
making a few corrections will dramatically improve your
results.

How To Profit From Your Opt-in Email List

By Barrington Paige

You have heard the theme "The money is in the list".

There are several ways to start your list both free and paid.
The fastest way to acquire an email list for your ezine or email marketing is just to buy one from a respectable co-registration provider.

Some things you must require of a lead generation company.
  • They collect email addresses ethically and responsively from people that have given their permission and 100% opted-in.
  • Leads you purchase are targeted to your market
  • They should be able to give you an IP address and a time stamp of the subscriber.

This will help to verify permission was received when occasionally your subscribers get amnesia and accuse you of spam.

Always remember when you buy leads that nobody wants to be hard-sold by a virtual or complete stranger. The goal of your opt-in list is to build relationships with prospects and turn them into customers and friends.

The current trend online is to participate in a free contest. The marketing gurus and successful online publishers are using this strategy to gain thousand of subscribers quickly and easily.

Another trend is to give away free software in exchange for their email address. See an example here.

-------> http://lists.alltheprofitsecrets.com

This is cheaper and it takes longer, but you'll be better off because you know your opt-in list is targeted. While having large subscriber numbers is an ego stroke, it doesn't pay the bills.

Responsive subscribers are the key to a profitable list. Make it a goal to educate and inform and the money will come. The relationship you build with your subscribers will determine your success.

Profit Tip: The last two weeks using RSS feeds and pingomatic.com service. I have average 5 to 20 new subscribers daily to my new blog “Little Known Ways To Make Money" at http://www.blog.moneypaige.com

By pinging the blog, which is notifying the specialized blog search engines and RSS aggregators of an update, the blog reaches a huge audience including media outlets.

No matter what niche you're in or what you're selling, whether you have two-dozen products or an affiliate promoting other people's products, building a list should be a priority.

Indirectly Get To The Top Of Search Engines

by Kim Beardsmore

There are millions of web sites trying to get listed in the top 20 spots of the major search engines. That amounts to a lot of competition! I say if you can't get listed at the top, indirectly get to the top.

How do you do this? Look up the top 20 web sites on the major search engines under the keywords and phrases people would find your web site. The key would be to then advertise on those web sites.

The most expensive way would be to buy ad space on those web sites. If you don't want to spend any money, you could use the ten strategies below. These strategies may not apply to every web site.

1. Participate on their discussion boards. You could post questions, answer other peoples questions, and join in on conversations. Just include your signature file and link at the end of your messages.

2. Ask the web site owner if they would like a free ebook to giveaway to their visitors. You could have them link to your web site or include your ad in the free ebook.

3. Submit content to their web site. You could write articles for their web site and include your resource box and link at the end of the article. If they publish it, you'll indirectly be at the top of the search engines.

4. Write an excellent article review of their web site, products or services. Then publish the review on your web site. E-mail the web site owner and tell him or her about it. They may link to your web site so their visitors read it.

5. Ask the owner of the web site if they would want to trade advertising. If you don't get as much traffic as they do, you could throw in some extra incentives.

6. Propose a cross promotion deal with the web site. You both could promote each others products or services together in one package deal. This means a mention and link back to your web site.

7. Give the web site a testimonial for their product or service. Include a little text link for your web site with the testimonial. You never know; it could end up on their ad copy.

8. Post your advertisement on their free classified ad section on their web site. You want to be sure you have an attractive headline so they will read your ad.

9. Post your text link on their free-for-all links page. You want to go back and post your link regularly so it stays towards the top.

10. Sign their guest books. You could leave a short compliment about their web site on their guest book. Just include your signature file and link at the end of your message.
